Emma Watson

Emma Watson was Hermione Granger in all of the Harry Potter movies. Emma and I have lots of differences, but we also have some similarities!!! Like how we have both been on T.V.! But I have only been in commercials for my theater [Artsview Childrens Theater], while she is in movies and some T.V. shows.Something that I think that her friends would say is, “We can’t get her off of the stage!!!” I love Emma Wason! She is my ROLE MODEL!!! If you are reading this [which I hope that you are] Please share it or comment! If you are reading this and you know her or are her friend text, share, or tell her to comment on it.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                                                                            Mykey .F.

Women in the Revolution

Emily Geiger was very brave. She was a Patriot and she proved it. She convenced General Greene to take a letter to General Sumter’s camp about their camps joining forces and defeating the British. The reason that she volunteered was beacause 1. She had family that lived in that general direction and she could just say that she was just visiting if she got caught, and 2. She was a woman, and women back then were not excpected to be smart enough to be spies. General Greene let her take the note, so she did. On the way on the first night, Emily found a barn and the couple that owned it, invited her inside their house and let her sleep. That morning she woke up to the sound of a man’s voice. The man was saying that he had heard that there was a woman riding in the woods and if the couple had found her to tell him. Emily had then thought that her hosts were tories {Loyalists} so Emily snuck out without them knowing. While Emily was riding in the woods, she saw some men in red coats. She knew that they were British Soldiers so she tried to run, but she was caught and had to be searched. She was brought to this woman’s place to be searched because men could not search women. she still had the letter and knew that the woman would find it so little by little Emily memorized the note abuot the camps. Emily then tore the paper, and ate it. She was then searched and was found innocent. After that she was released and started riding again. She then found the camp and was let in to tell General Sumter what the note said. He belived her and met at the meeting spot. The camps then joined forces and defeated the british.

Sincerelly,                                                                                                                                                                                                       Mykey .F.

MLK Service

Martin Luther King Jr., was a man that  served not for himself, but for other people. He was african american and just beacause of his skin he and everyone else who looked different from white people were treated differently. They had to drink out of horrible water fountains, while white people got the good water fountains. They had to hand wash their own clothes, while white people got to drop off the clothes at the washer and drier places. They had to go to a different school and learn different things then white people did ,and that just crosses a line. Which is why ME as a white person DID something that I don’t know is representing any thing but I with my Great Uncle recycled 44 pounds of tin soda cans on Martin Luther King Jr. day! I am SO proud and happy that we had people great enough and good enough like:                    Rosa Parks, and Ruby Bridges and ESPECIALY Martin Luther King Jr. who saved people from harm!

I request for YOU to do something helpful this month even though it is the end of it. Even if that means doing an extra chore, or praying extra for something happy to happen, or maybe even letting your mom or dad rest and YOU yes YOU do that one special thing for them like making breakfast or recycling thats what I did.

Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                                                                           Mykey.F.

Midnight Ride

Minutemen hiding, watching, waiting

Night time is here as Revere rings

In front of the house of Sam Adams’s things.

Incredible men do incredible things like

Dawes and Prescott as Paul Revere rings

Great times we can remember from April 18th,1775

Help is needed so far and so dark

To light the darkened lantern tonight.

Riding to the river

In which the lanterns shone

Desperate to warn the others

Even if Paul rides till dawn.

                                                                            Sincerely,                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               Mykey.F.

Colonial Occupations– Apothecary

Dear Diary.

I woke up this morning while my husband was in the field and I had a loaf of corn bread. Then I grabed my Mortar and my Pestle and started grinding my herbs. A young woman who looked like she had just gotten married had just walked in my house and asked me to put some leeches on her arms and legs because she was so swollen! Afterwards she payed me 300 pounds for some leeches and some herbs. Then RIGHT AFTER the woman had walked out a hurt man came fast-walking in and sat his rump in my mixing chair while I was getting a book! How rude was that. Soon he told me that I needed to bleed him. He said he would pay me 5,000 POUNDS. I took the challenge and I bleed him. I told him that with all of the pounds that I got today, we could buy a HOUSE! Plus my salary of 14 pounds! My husband will be SO PROUD! Now I shall speak in you tomorrow I must now go feed the pigs, cook dinner, and clean up all of the blood from the bleeding and the leeches.
